Privacy
CertWatch is operated by REKKY Consulting LLC. This page describes the information the application stores and why.
Account information
When you create a company account, CertWatch stores the company name, your name, username, email address, and a password hash. Invited users have the same fields. CertWatch does not store the password itself.
Register information
Items you add can include a person’s name, an issuing body, a license or policy number, dates, notes, and an uploaded PDF, JPG, or PNG. You choose what to type and what to upload. Those records are used to show the dashboard and to address reminder email.
Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. CertWatch stores the Stripe customer id, subscription id, price id, status, and billing period end so the account can tell whether adding and editing items is available. Card numbers are entered on Stripe Checkout, not on a CertWatch form.
Messages
The help form stores the name, email address, and message you submit so the message can be read and, when mail is configured, forwarded to the site operator. The public pages do not list a phone number or an email address.
Session cookie
Sign-in uses one session cookie. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and Secure when the site is served over HTTPS. CertWatch does not use advertising cookies.
Reminders
Reminder email is sent to the company owner and to a user whose name or email matches the person on the item. The message contains the item fields needed to identify the record and the expiry date you stored.
How long it is kept
Company records, user records, items, uploaded files, and reminder history are removed when the owner deletes the company account. Help-form messages stay in the database so the operator can read them on the admin page.
Sharing
CertWatch does not sell personal information. Stripe receives the billing details required to run the subscription. Mail is sent through the server’s PHP mail function or the SMTP server entered in admin settings.
